Ever stumbled upon this symbol in one of our articles?

Here’s everything you need to know about it.

Below Surface

In writing our articles we try to achieve two sometimes contradicting things at once.

We want them to be as enjoyable to read as possible and, at the same time, to be filled with valuable insights and ideas.

Since most of our articles are based on, or inspired by, psychological insights and ideas from various schools of thought, the topics can be quite complex and sharing them within the frame of a lighthearted, simple to understand and enjoyable to read article can be tricky.

In an effort to be able to do both at the same time, bringing you complex topics without losing the ease of reading them, we came up with the idea of adding layers to our articles.

Here our little wavey friend comes into play.

Every time you see this symbol

somewhere in an article, you just discovered the pathway to another layer of that article.

How does it work?

Well, to show you, please tap or click on that blue little wave symbol above.

If you tapped or clicked on it, a little box with some text should show up with some additional information about the topic.

This allows us to add a layer of complexity to our articles, without losing the ease and joy of reading them, and it allows you to go even more below the surface of the topics, but only if and when you would like to.

We believe and hope that by adding this layer to our articles we can enhance your reading experience even more.

Happy reading and look out for our wavey little fellow, waiting to take you even further into the insights and ideas of our articles!
